The Kid Who Touches Everything Blog Tour!

If your kids are anything like my kids, they love to get right into their play. They get messy and that's okay. They wash. Unfortunately, kid washing (at least in my house) often leads to me needing to wash out the sink. You can picture it, the trail of dirt and muck leading from the push of the soap dispenser, onto the taps and into the sink. This past month I've had the opportunity to work with Mom Central Canada to help cut out one of those messy trail steps with the new Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System.

Saturday Night Post

My poor blogs have been suffering from a case of "the busies".  Not them being busy, but me being busy and not posting.  I always have the greatest of intentions to post (trust me, you should see the back log of pictures of food waiting to go onto Whatcha' Eatin'?).  I also have a backlog of teaching successes to share with my teacher friends, parenting updates and even a few crafty bits to share on here.  Those great intentions are more and more sidelined by...well life really.  Living life with my family.  The time for blogging slips away as I teach 8 and 9 year olds how to multiply and use proper punctutation in their writing.  It goes as I go once again to cheer on my favorite 5 and 8 year old hockey stars.  It goes as I juggle all 3 kids attending 3 separate birthday parties at the same time.  It goes as 100 day and Valentines Day come and go and Winter Carnival begins its approach.  And when I do sit down I realize that book stack I bought with my Christmas money has barely been touched because the only time I have left in the day is a half hour to myself where a glass of wine and the Big Bang Theory is just so darn appealing.  And I look back and see the best times I've had blogging are in the summer and Christmas Breaks and mat leaves.  So my dear blogs, know that I do enjoy you and you are missed.  March Break is a couple of weeks away and we will catch up a bit then.
 

Saturday Morning

It's a beautiful Saturday morning here. After returning back to full time work outside the home a couple of weeks ago, I'm so grateful for Saturday morning. What better way to spend it than with a cup of tea and to re-vamp my blogging life. My boys are happily confiscating all the blankets and pillows in the house to create the greatest fort ever, while my daughter is coloring away in her colour wonder book. I've been thinking about blogging and how I blog for a long time now. Over the years I've gotten so compartmentalized with my blogging. I have a blog for books, a blog for books, a blog for crafts, a personal blog and share on a parenting blog. That's just getting to be too many blogs. So many that I've become overwhelmed with it all. So I'm streamlining. I'm taking this little used crafty blog and making my own little personal space on the web. Whether or not I close down the rest and just blog it all here remains to be seen, but that's the way I'm seriously considering going.
While I'm at it, I never did show you all the dress I made for my daughter did I? I love it. She wore it to her baptism a few weeks ago and I got a lot of positive comments on it. Here are a few pictures:

I have to give a huge plug for Skype here. Skype is awesome. This is my first dress pattern I've done and I got stuck. So I Skyped with my mom. She knew exactly what to do and walked me through it. Fantastic!
